If you use Roxio or Nero, look for the FORMAT disc or ERASE utility of their program. I can't tell you EXACTLY, since I enjoy no idea which program you use. Maybe if you click on HELP.

If you enjoy a R/W disk Insert it in tray of your writer drive and unscrew your image burning software & click erase disc & you are done.

Yes i agree with above.Nero is the best choice. Install Nero 6 and click erase disk, it will do the trick
launch nero goto extra here will be option erase cd rw use it.
