You are going to hold driver issues and a bigger headache than just reformatting the HDD. When you use an existing HDD preinstalled next to windows, it will own drivers and everything else from the old motherboard. When using the alien motherboard with the ripened HDD, you are going to have compatibility issues, driver issues, and within some cases wont be able to boot. It is simply a good hypothesis to reformat the HDD to the new motherboard to accumulate you headaches and adjectives problems.

Chances are the drivers present on your complex drive will not be compatible with your alien motherboard. Make a backup and then return with your Windows disc out. You're going to be there a while.

if you using indistinguishable mobo with same bios later perhaps it can be done.
You have need of to reinstall your Windows. The others are right. You will spend far too much time trying to reconfigure everything, and not have programs that are compatible. It sucks, but you will not enjoy all of those problems.
