Is it possible to convert computer headset near mic. to use as Telephone Headphones.?

The computer receiver with mic. enjoy two 3.5mm plugs. One is for mic. (audio out) and the other one is for listening. (audio in).
The Telephone have one 2.5mm plug. Can I use a Y adapter on the computer headphones to create them work on my phone? If it will work, does anyone know where to find the Y adapter? It would be 2 feminine 3.5 to one male 2.5.

Answer:
definitelty yes. but the impedance would not be matched, you should contest the impedance for maximum power transfer(for clear audio ), and it needs to be connected to the speaker and the mic of the cell phone unit itself.
it will be contest ur connection since the volume will be smaller amount compare to Phone but u can talk and hear the nouns, you should match the impedance for maximum power transfer(for clear audio ), and it requirements to be connected to the speaker and the mic of the telephone component itself.
