This wouldn't ensue to be a work computer or school computer, would it? A lot of institutions "Deep Freeze" their computers to rollback the settings and files on the strong drive every time they reboot. This keeps the users from downloading anything that could merit a zeroing of the entire rugged drive. It's a safety precaution.
If it's not, after I imagine that window just doesn't approaching the codec/hardware combination. Maybe try another codec?
Check the manufacturer net site to see if a driver upgrade is available (some times the manufacture will publish a driver and after that find out that it has some type of flaw beside certain configurations). If no, after something is corrupting the driver, make sure the computer is clear of malware. When did the problem start? be there any unmarked hardware installed before the problem started? Those question will help contained by determining the problem.
If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem near device drivers, hardware or software.
