I added another hardisk as a slave drive it is showing surrounded by the bios but when i checked on window not showing?

Did you connect the power connection to it and also the IDE cable.

Make sure that the jumper on the vertebrae of both hard drives is within the correct position. Theres Master, Slave and Cable Select (CS). I recommend setting both jumpers to the cable select position. Then use your IDE cable to select master/slave...the connecter at the pause is for the Master, and the connector in the middle is the slave.

You running earlier window? There may be a file system installed that the OS isn't compatible next to. I'm not positive on this but I know my Linux partition doesn't show up surrounded by win98.
Your new harddisk have not been partitioned and format nonetheless, dude:). Use Norton Partition or other partition software to create your current harddisk under your Windows XP environment.
OR
Remove your existing prime HDD, connect your foreign harddisk then run your window XP/Vista installation.
During installation process, it will auto ask u to create type of partition, choose the desire fence and hit enter for the Window OS to create for u.
Process complete, then hit F3 I deduce or choose exit option to install your OS on this harddisk. Fix put a bet on the existing prime harddisk back afterwards connect your new harddisk as slave. There u budge. A new drive is detected and in place to use.
Remember to set your jumper strange harddisk to SLAVE if it is IDE connection.
SATA drive, if your prime drive is at SATA0, next your new drive will be at SATA1.
If you own XP, right click on "My PC" and and chose "Administrate". On the left side will be a sub-menu on disk administrating... If you click here it should show up on the bottom right panel. You will find many option there.
