If I give an external tricky drive surrounded by increase to the full internal drive I enjoy, will my conduct slow down?

Would I be better bad transferring everything from 80g internal to 400 gig external and using the external exclusively? If I use external exclusively via usb cable will my dramatization be slower than it was beside internal hard drive lone?

Answer:
External drives are hugely slower than internal drives due to the interfaces they use. External drives using USB 1.1 have a verbs rate of 12Mbit/sec. USB 2.0 is 480Mbit/sec.
Internal drives running Ultra ATA transfer at 1GB/s.
Internal drives using SATA verbs at 1.5GB/s and SATA 2 at 3GB/s.

So obviously a huge difference.
yes if you use individual the usb extern hdd your performance will be slower as the usb have a very low verbs speed .
i sugest you to use the os on the internal hdd and the 400G external hdd as storage. (i have exactely this config 80G internal os hdd + 400G external usb2.0 hdd)
Yes. It will slow down. I can donate you a link that deal with rock-hard drive problems. Some RAM/hard drive problems can be easily fixed yourself by using slickly available tools. I found the info at http://fixit.in adjectives. Try this site, if you can get what is required.
The course to get the most gig would be to buy a faster hard drive, to use as your boot and application drive, afterwards use the slower 80GB drive for storage only. That's not an confident thing to do, though, and is relatively a bit harder on pre-built computers.

Most people in recent times buy a faster, larger drive, like these two: http://www.newegg.com/product/productcom... and install everything except Windows on it, along near using it for storage.

Oh, I almost forgot. If you meant using a USB rock-hard drive as a boot drive, that's extremely slow. If you meant removing your applications from the internal drive, afterwards your applications will load slightly slower. Not much, but you'd more than promising notice the difference. External drives don't work powerfully for anything besides extra storage, and they're great for that, because it's completely portable.
