dont devise you have to wager on them up but if i were you, i would.
i would put money on them up .. and u will prolly need a 4gig+ drive ... a usb harddrive would probably be better ...

You better backup your most needed files. you may never know what would happen to Windows Upgrade... :)... a short time ago kidding.
It will would be better if you can write them on a DVD+RW or copy to another system through the Network.
If you dont' enjoy both then you necessitate to go for a External Hard drive beside min of 4-5 GB for your songs alone.
just put them surrounded by .mp3/wav format somewer else on ur hardisk, wer they are not associated with itunes surrounded by any way; if something go wrong, it will be itunes and the library; not the songs themselved
No, you dont HAVE to back up anything! But if your music is key to you, then fund them up. Yes, you can back them up on a flash (jump) drive. For 900 songs, a 2gb go underwater drive would likely be enough, or you could just burn them to a couple CDs if you hold a CD burner.
If you're performing an upgrade, Microsoft read out you don't need to stern anything up - but they also say that they can't be responsible for any facts loss that you may encounter!!!
The best bet is to use the opportunity to back-up and reorganise all your songs/movies/documents, etc.
For the backup you should use a reliable destination drive - CD/DVD is biddable because you make a semi-permanent copy of the notes, rather than a simple copy onto a removable Hard Disk or USB stick since these can be artificial by much more external influences (such as electro-mechanical shock, magnetism, etc).
You should also verify the facts after backing it up, ie compare what you've back up with what you've in reality got on your Hard Disk.
Obviously, an almost ultimate solution is to do your installation on a spare hard disk which leaves ALL your resourceful data intact should you ever call for to revert back :)

iTunes is not yet compatible next to Windows Vista. I verified this with Apple. As of in a minute, they have no impression when this will be fixed. If iTunes is a big part of your computer use, I'd keep on until Apple fixes this before upgrading, otherwise your iTunes library/iPod will be useless.
