Whats the best graphics card i can carry next to a budget of 100$(give or take)?

My computer come with a video card thats built into the motherboard thats not that great its a
HP medium cent PC M7160n and it does have pci express ports.
im a short time ago looking for a better card so i can play half-life 2 and counterstrike source without it skipping (and yes it is my graphics card inflict i have 1Gb push and a duel 2.8 processor and i have 6 or 8(not shure) mb internet)
yea so any suggestions would be great

any a 8600 gt (more future proof(faster contained by next gen games) but slower within most games)for a bit more
or an 7600 gt (faster in most games)about $100
or if you play a great deal of source based spectator sport x1950 pro pwns them both in source base games if you want play with 4x AA and 8 aniso but is just about $40 more.
