How can I modernize my computer?
Answer:
Sorry to say but if your computer come from Dell with just 256 of ram and more than expected its pc100 theres no way ur gonna achieve more than 1 gig into that machne..Older computers can one and only be upgraded so much...
Im not much of a gamer but if u plan on playing alot of games like World Of Warcraft you might wanna catch a new computer.. and especially 1 beside a video card of more than 256 and with atleast 1gb of knock against..
As for price for a decent gaming computer..... $800.00+
and beside that u get what u retribution for
Bogus high running out gaming machines can run up into the 4 grand
If you want to play games, you involve to add more RAM up to 2GB
travel get it mory memory and defarg it and do a disk verbs up or take it some be to get it cleaned
More memory would help out but that computer just isnt to apposite...might as well purely get a contemporary one and dell doesnt put good graphics cards surrounded by its cheaper computers so a new graphics card too....explore for a geforce 6600 gt (that is good for how cheap it is and will play warcraft effortlessly.
Please put a geoforce 256 MB graphics card into it.
You need a better Graphic Accelerator (Graphics Card). Minimum recommended for best gaming experience is a 128MB memory one. You should check tho if your computer supports it. Check for the illustrative aperture (AGP) supported by you motherboard... (16x or higher)
Also look for a faster CPU (processor) and the possibility of increasing RAM size.
If you play online games also check connection speed (most work if you own 18kBps or higher)
tell the problem
if the computer is slowing down while u play the spectator sport
open up the skin put a small Fan towards the inside the computer and try too cool it down while u play the game this will abet... if u want a better performance u own to clean the hanger-on on the top of ur CPU and always hold it cool inside the computer
I need a few more specs!!!!! But overall categorically get more memory. Most games ask for at tiniest 512MB of memory. Especially with a DELL this should be relatively cheap, and no you dont hold to use "Dell certified memory" Get at least another 256MB stick.
I know this spectator sport is really graphics intense also, so you should take a look at your graphics card. If I know your specs I could recommend one for you, but you can even upgrade one of those especially on a Dell fairly cheap.(something probably lower than 150 or so.
And without cliché you should definitely fashion sure your computer is defraged, use something like spybot go through and destroy, adaware se personal, ewido antispy(all these are free programs that assist keep your comp running smoother.
Also if you own broadband, make sure it is disconnected when you play. This can chew up cpu cycles and bog down your notebook while playing games.
