Question more or less lateral devices?
Write a one to two page treatise detailing the steps you need to follow when installing a foreign peripheral. Include the steps for a parallel, serial, and USB device.
Now, I am wondering if parallel, serial and USB devices are at a tangent devices?? And if so, where I can find info on how to install respectively one..
Thanks!
Answer:
Peripheral devices are simply things that you connect to your computer. So then, a monitor, printer, scanner, and so on, are divergent devices. parallel, serial, and USB are the types/kinds of cables you use to connect them to the comptuer. Each at a tangent device, as well as your computer, have connection ports. Which description of cable you use, depends on what kind of cable the divergent device will accept. Some of them can adopt more than one kind of cable.
As for the steps:
1. Read the instructions! That's what they are at hand for.
2. Generally speaking, connect the hardware to your computer while it is off. Then boot up the computer. Your computer wil afterwards detect the new hardware. It will also probably start some thoughtful of wizard, to walk you though the rest of the steps. Just do anything the wizard tells you to do.
3. Install the software that come with the at a tangent device.
4. Test everything out by attempting to use the new divergent device.
If your peripheral device contains instructions that are contrary to the above mentioned suggestions, later always follow the instructions that lead the peripheral device.
They're adjectives peripheral devices.
Installation is specific to the device - that's why they come near manuals!
Yes they are peripherals. Almost everything very soon is USB. Where is your professor living?
Most devices now are PnP, or Plug and Play. That ability Windows should recognize most devices if you attach them via a cable. If not, you stipulation the CD that come with the device.
For adjectives three types of peripherals, the process is the same.
1) Connect the at a tangent
2) Install drivers from CD/floppy/hard disk/internet
3) Reboot
4) Use the device.
For most of USB devices step 3 is not necesery. Also for parallel and serial peripherals, computer must be turned off while connecting, USB devices can be plugged it while computer is running.
