I enjoy a Compaq presario that have a drive size of 20GB?

is it possible to put more drive memory into it? I'd loathe to think that I'm stuck beside 20GB of hard drive space on this appliance. thanks and God bless you adjectives.

Answer:
It would be easier to add a second, or "slave" frozen drive.. that way, your OS will stay on the first, or "C" drive, and the second HDD will be the "D" drive. When you append software, add it to the "D" drive instead of the "C". You will enjoy to set some jumpers on the HDD's, but nearby are plenty of do-it-yourself tips on the internet.
You can buy a bigger hard drive, and enjoy it put in, its in truth really to put in yourself, but you dont nouns like you own much experience with computers. I own an 80gb drive and a 20gb drive in my computer.
Try buying an external Harddrive, it will plug into your USB slots, and make available you as much memory as you need.
yes, you should be capable of update that, either move about into a comp store and tell them what you want and any intall it yourself or pay them to do it... the other way out is, if you have a spare USB or Firewire port to use and external which are roughly speaking $50 - $100 AUD more than there internal equivalent, but consent to you just plug and play on any computer that you want it to go on, and if at some point you update your computer, its lately a matter of unpluging and repluging within the USB cord :)
That is very small compared to the 200GB bright models. Oh-well no need to fret. The hassle-free opening to do this is simply buy a nice external hard drive approaching 100GB they are about 1 buck for respectively gb nice deal! newly save your stuff to that. undesirably if you want to get a strange hard drive you are going to own to get a unmarked one for you computer model, and reformat the old one and put everything on the different one. if you dont want to do the external hard drive point just buy a untried computer. it would be more just to append a new sturdy drive vs. buying a nice new computer.
Two things will agree on the size Hard Drive your machine will knob.
1) The system "bios"
2) The Operating System

I suggest you visit the Compaq site to find the answer to the first put somebody through the mill, armed with your machines model / number and current bios performance. Their support FAQ section will explain to you how to find out what your bios version is.

For the second you will entail to visit microsoft's site to check on any size restrictions and work-around's for your OS performance.
