I enjoy DVD_RAM disc 9,4Gb & it simply behave as aROM disc contained by my Samsung drive S182MR.How to use as tricky drive?
Answer:
Insert the disk. Goto My computer and after right click on the drive in which the dvd-ram disk is and select FORMAT on the pop up menu. Select FAT32 contained by the file system drop down box. next click start (this may not work on your PC).
Some dvd-writers may require you to install additional utility/driver to accomplish this function. You might also have to turn bad Windows XP's built in cd-writing software. http://www.wibble.co.uk/dvd-ram/index.ht...
Alternatively you can use packet writing software similar to nero Incd to format the disk and use it like you would a complex disk.
EDIT: For windows 2000 or lower you will enjoy to use packet writing software. Only windows XP have minimal support for DVD-RAM in the form of the FAT32 format from my computer. I am not sure how VISTA handle DVD-RAM.
its a disc?? like a cd?? if it is it cant be used as a hdd...i never hear of dvd_ram or arom
wow dats amazing...i didnt knw about dvd hit......and they can even be used as hdd.......gotta get myself one
Check the samsung webpage for your drive - and see if a firmware upgrade is available for that model to support DVD-RAM use.
Not adjectives DVD writers support DVD-RAM out of the box, as it is not a widely used system anymore.
If all else failse, you might entail to consider getting a DVD writer that does support it.
I think that what you want is something that you are not asking for.
That's not a problem.
There are 2 types of dvd drive, one store , one plays only . What you want is a dvd re-writer, ( one that records) Then you need a dvdrw disc. This can be re - written on.
Then you entail to format the disc ( not you HARD DRIVE !)
You can then use it close to your hard drive, it will perform and look the same, but it will simply have 4.5 GB of memory. If this help try my site you may like it.
