Graphics Card Help?

Well I a moment ago installed a Nvidia Geforce 7600 Gs hoping to increase my gaming performance ( have a Intel Graphics Controller before lol ) anyways my fps on counterstrike is still equal as when i had that intel graphics controller.. am i doing something wrong?? i already updated the drivers and everything
