i hold a creative webcam and it works great when i connect it directly to my computer with usb. but i with the sole purpose have two usb ports and use them for a the ivories and a printer so i decided to use a hub. i bought one and window recognizes it. its a plug and play so it works . when i plug my camera into it it turns the muted on like if it is plugged surrounded by but when i try to see it using slightspeed it says that at hand is no video capture device detected.. please backing..

Some devices do not work well sour hubs. So get the camera to a direct nouns and the other devices on the hub. If that still doesn't work, get an supplementary USB PCI card.

Hubs are okay for some things. BUT.... it's probably better to get yourself a USB PCI card and install it. Usually they extend at least 4 ports on the external module of the card and one internal. PCI is the way to step.
