(I just get finished doing about 40 of those 8mm tape to dvd for my boss- the cord we used was a digital IEEE 1394 cable) (You may obligation a different cable-depending on what camcorder you have). Buy a tv tuner card and install it in your notebook then copy them onto your hard drive afterwards burn them to DVD's; or buy a DVD recorder, they are getting considerably cheap.
