Computer microphone?

I only just added a microphone to my computer so that I can communicate w/family.

My daughter wants to play next to the microphone, record, and hear her voice.

Can I do that? If so, how please? Thanks for any answers.

Its very assured just follow the following steps:-
IF U HAVE WINDOWS XP THEN DO THE FOLLOWING:-

Open <Start>, <programs>, <accessories>, <entertainment> and afterwards click sound recorder.
Attach you microphone and next click the red button in that nouns recorder then relay ur little daughter to speak and it will get record.
