I simply bought a mic and i cant gain it to work. give a hand!?

Click the volume control option and make sure the mic box is checked. The control should show within your mixer now. This still wont acquire your mic goin unless you are using some software that uses it tho....
Check the control panel for sound settings. The Mic port is muted by failure to pay.
Might need to check "Master Volume" Might enjoy to click advanced to see the "mic" or "recordigng" tab depending on your OS.
In Windows XP click Start, All Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, Sound Recorder. Plug your mic in and see if it works. Or run to Control Panel and click on Sounds and Audio Devices, then on Audio. I'm not sure what you connote by volume adjuster in the computer'. See if those will give support to. Otherwise, try Microsoft Network Newsgroups. YOu can ask questions within and someone usually replies with great counsel. Also, have you read the brochure that came beside your mic?
