Just ensure that the power supply that you buy is indistinguishable interface as the one you're currently using. Just look up your computer's operation manual, and you should see something essential the power supply manual such as "ATX", or "Mini-ATX". You want to buy the corresponding type. It's most-likely to be ATX, though.
The guy is an idiot. An ATX power supply will fit into an ATX bag.
as far as I know (be warned I conceivably wrong as it has happen before, although it happen on a wednesday) anyways... all power supplies are generic surrounded by size I doubt you'll have to buy a tentative computer case....

no. you dont own to. just buy a brand new smps (power pack) for your cabinet
if you just want to conversion the power supply from 250w to 450w, you don't have to move the case, if you don't want it. merely buy the power suppply.
best bet is to take the frail power supply with you to ensure an exact contest most are universally fit. go to a comp usa or notebook club , netseller etc. you dont need a different caes . then youd own to swap out the mother board etc. big hassle

As with every one else say, no you dont need a exotic case.. Just manufacture sure it is the right supply you need... Most power supplys are like peas in a pod, only few are bigger or smaller and some capacity a bit on the setup on the back, but adjectives in adjectives most are the same...Just manufacture sure your wire setup on the bord ATX power connector is one and the same sometimes the retail powersupplies are not very in good health "quality controlled" and you get a few that are backwards.

You might inevitability a new valise if you have a slimline PC. Check beside your computer manufacturer to trademark sure you get the right specifications for the power supply. Also receive sure that one is the right size. Like I said before, your computer fabrication can provide you with a larger power supply that will fit within your case.
