Why doesnt my computer read CD's?

My computer is really tentative and ive restarted it many times, its not reading any cd... can someone abet me?

Answer:
You have to enlarge the CPU, Unplug the cables and plug it again. Check whether it is working or not. If adjectives cables are properly installed afterwards go to BIOS settings, if you disc ROM is disable in bios settings afterwards you can not use CD ROM, Make it see. Save changes contained by BIOS and restart the system.
If the CD drive is functional and enabled contained by the bios, the only other point is drivers and registry settings in the OS.

IF the OS is XP, google for "Doug Knox", he have a site with lots of XP fixes - one is for reinstalling the cd/dvd drivers.

I enjoy seen tons systems with undermined upper/lower filters that rationale the system to not see the cds.

Best of success
