My graphics card enthusiast is making a horrible roar, can anyone assistance?
It have a dual fan system, but it seem that one of the fans is making a horrible hum, as if it's scraping on something as it spins. I've tried cleaning out adjectives the dust and making sure nothing is touching the admirer that shouldn't be, and I've tightened up slightly loose screws but still no luck.
Sometimes it doesn't brand a noise at adjectives, but I've looked at it whilst it's been running and the disappeared fan looks for a while bit loose as it spins. Sometimes when it's making a noise at full speed I hear metallic noise, as if it's maybe hitting the copper covering?
Any thoughts are appreciated, it seems to hold calmed down a bit atm but it's still making the noise every in a minute and then.

You can remove the fan and replace with alien ones, simple enough to do, look at this ebay item: http://cgi.ebay.com/nvidia-geforce-5200-...
You can also find larger bake sinks to replace the fans so this does not take place again.
JUST REMEMBER.. just because it is peace, doesn't mean it is ok, if a follower DOES fail.. you risk losing your Video card to overheating.. if you hold it overclocked, tune it down until you fix the issue!

Take it to a place, like geek squad or something and enjoy them look at it. Spending money to have somebody look at it, especially since it's probably nought major sucks, but it's better than have to buy a new graphics card
You should replace the follower if possible or buy a modern video card
i had similar beside a radeon 9800 i used to own.
the fan may be dilapidated and catching on the sides, i had to buy an aftermarket enthusiast as the card was out of warranty but yours is newer and should know how to return to manufacturer (gainward returns must move about to germany so it will be a few weeks wait)
continuing use like this is terrifying for your pc as the lover will not be spinning at full efficiency and may lead to overheating trouble.
my temporary solution be to turn the pc on its side so that the lover was orientated differently and did not nick.
buy another fan, if u never want to..so..may be this will oblige:.. switch off PC, detach pictographic card, detach fan, verbs it, detach protective membrane in the centre of attention of the fan, put a touch drop of lubricant (preferrably gun lubricant or sewing machine lubricant), attach protective membrane, rotate the van using pen and later rotate it by blowing until free running, atach fan to pictographic card, install graphic card to PC, start the PC...
If it is a stock lover on your GC i would suggest that you replace it (as most stock fans are rubbish), a produce not going to put a class cooler on his GC when he can get away beside a cheep one, its all down to bookkeeping and prophets, so bin the stock lover and go for a biddable cooler.
You should use a special grease for that matter and after you could sleep quietly :)
