My 256mb usb memory stick is not getting recognised by PC's?

I be copying some JPEG files and a AVI (video)onto the memorystick and suddenly it just froze and the wallet transfer be stopped. Since then I enjoy tried the format option but to no avail. Can the memorystick be restored?

may be it is an USB2 , i direction to download the driver for USB2 i think the problem will be solved after , i had indistinguishable problem before, and i solved it
If you are not sufficiently expert to format it, then the drive is probably fried.

Just jump buy a new one, 1024mb sticks are available for around $20 in our time.
If your USB has some problem near itself I'm not sure whether it's recoverable or not, but there is a handful of tricks if problem is next to connection among PC and USB.
