I enjoy just bought a 2nd foot HP Vectra and I was going to put my ripened Re-Writer in it. But following found out that the HP CD-ROM slot is for those slim kind. So my Re-Writer won't fit. Any philosophy?

Make it an external cd/dvd drive, be the first on your block!
Been a while since I have see a Vectra. As I recall the A drive contained by the vectra is a slim in a full slot. You may know how to move the A drive to the CD location and install your CD/DVD where on earth the A drive use to be.
