Usb stopped?!?

my friend's USB port isn't working? when she plugs contained by her camera it says USB device not customary. what should she do?

Answer:
Windows tries real not easy to be a friendly OS, but there are still correct rules. One of the primary ones is to ALWAYS install the software before plugging within any hardware. Did a CD come beside the camera? If not then window should have familiar the camera as a storage device, otherwise unplug the camera and install the software that came next to it. If all else fail I always use the best tool ever made -- Google. Google the camera first name and check their website for issues such as yours or perhaps obligatory drivers. I hope this helps
uninstall it next use the cd that came beside the camera
if you only enjoy one usb port...
i dont think its the port. install the software that come with your camera.
if you hold any other devices that are USB, plug them in and label sure they work - to rule out a bad USB port.
sounds similar to there are drivers missing try going to: start-control panel-system-hardware-device administrator and at the bottom is usb controllers, if there is a washed out ! than the drivers need to be reinstalled.
