Divx and vista?

the naked eye will not be capable of see the subtle differences so dont worry. any other settings will more than possible not work on vista anyway.

DivX and vista do not play nice together. When using DivX, aero is disabled and adjectives glass and animation is lost. To play avi files minus losing aero everytime, uninstall DivX and install the Xvid Codec. This should fix the problem.
basically ian,within windows vista,which is still contained by its infancy,some applications will not work properly with aero3d,they could probally run ok but may crash so window disables aero3d and switches to vista basic so as to avoid any errors or problems
i own windows vista premium and discern this when i run certain benchmarks such as 3dmarks 03,which benches illustrative cards
however dont worry ian,as soon as the application have finished aero3d wil be returned to its normal state
