Is it knowledgeable to install win professional, on a compaq originally,win95?
Answer:
If the notebook is so old that it started out beside win 95 then it probably won't be capable of handle XP. At most minuscule not very resourcefully. Them old win95 workstation were lucky to own 128 mb of ram most have way smaller quantity. Also there rarly if ever (don't remember it's be so long) had more than a 4 meg video adapter. Hard drives? hell 5 gigs be considered huge. Not to mention all the drivers you would hold to try and update. all that person said I guess it's possible with a bunch of upgrading but it seem like a big spend foolishly of time. I think you friend would be better past its sell-by date sticking with win 98 SE supported or not.
not a correct idea the best you can run on that is to say Win 98 i did that on my old laptop
Any computer that ran Win95 possible won't support the OS you're describing.
What are the specs of the computer? The processor may not be fast ample for Windows XP or Windows XP Professional. If they are , make sure she have enough memory and space on her firm drive. If she has the upgrade copy of Windows XP Pro, she will n eed win 98 already installed or have the Win98SE install compact disc available.
No. It is Windows. It is never wise to install Windows. Switch to Linux.
Get UBUNTU. It's a free reliable and up to date operating system. Also you go and get all of the programs FREE!!!
If the computer have 256MB of RAM get a full copy. If less, find XUBUNTU.
