i can see by your question you are tremendously anxious about this very well dont worry i will try to abet you sort this out
from what you have said,it looks approaching you have any a dual booted p.c or a windows disk still surrounded by the dvd drive
first do the following tasks
1)remove any dvd/cd roms from their drives
2)ensure your graphic card is inserted correctly and if a power supply is needed for the card check this
3)when you boot up,if the prospect screen you mentiom is called"vista boot representative,then choose xp64 and press enter
4)this will nouns up your windows xp operating system(pressing vista would of loaded "window vista)
when you reach the desktop your nvidia graphics card will be familiar as a new device,close the eyes to and cancel any prompts
shift to http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/dr... download the display(graphics)drivers applicable to your graphics card,and once downloaded go to the file(this will be called"nvidia forceware drivers" and click the deity to initialize set up
if you receive any messages about "driver signing" press"verbs anyway",then once the driver hold loaded press "restart now"
upon restart your display can be configured,right click the desktop and select "nvidia control panel" or you can also right click desktop and select properties,then select the settings tab,next change your resolution in that,for a 17" monitor the default resolution is 1024x768,for 19" monitors its 1280x1024
document:dont use the driver disks supplied,there usually out of date,sometimes by years,and also it looks approaching your p.c was booting from a cd
