Will the XFX GeForce 8600GT video card work beside Linux?

I be wondering if I would have to find a linux driver to work next to this card (which seems to be almost impossible for some things) or will linux be capable of recognize it on its own. I am using Linux Ubuntu and SUSE 10.1

For Ubuntu you could also try using the driver they have available, but it looks resembling the version they own doesn't support your card, so it may not work right ( https://help.ubuntu.com/community/binary... )
