Does anyone know where on earth I can draw from a firmware upgrade for an OEM dvd burner?

Its is a TSST Corp TS-H652D which come installed in an Emachines W3623, the issue I am havine is that it wont burn DVD+R disks of one and the same brand it will burn DVD-R disks.

no that type of device's firmware is not repromable if you want to burn the + format of dvd's is to buy a bright burner, buy a drive that will do + and - formats.

Some new drives burn DL (Dual Layer) and some drives enjoy a feature call light scribe, which allows you to etch a sign onto the label side of a dvd disk.
