3GB Of Ram?

I own Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit runnig on 1GB of RAM. I really need to upgrade to more RAM, so I'm thinking a total of 3GB of RAM. I also own dual core processors so then again 4GB or is 3GB simply fine? There's no hurry but I am looking forward to turning my computer to a gaming machine.

Answer:
i enjoy 3 gb... 2x1gb + 2x512mb ... so if you wanted latter just catch rid of the 2x512's like me. i give attention to 3gb will be fine, i'm played call of duty 2 etc on mine.. works nice =)

but yer 3 gb is plenty.. mixed up with a clothed gfx card and a nice cpu.. nice.
It's better to spend money on 2GB of RAM and get a worthy video card, then to drop a ton of money on 4 GB of RAM, and still take crappy framerates in your games :)
the more the merrier for a gaming piece of equipment of course ;-)
3gig of Ram is polite, 4 is better.

Make sure your PC works without installing pairs RAM, Some require both bank filling.
Your better bad with any 2 or 4 for the memory to run in dual focus. If your motherboard has 4 dimm slots and you walk with 2 1gb sticks, put them within slots 1 and 3. Most boards need similar memory sizes in slots 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 to run within dual channel mode.
