How do you display your PC's Videos directly on your TV?

OK so here's the operation that is frustrating me. I lately bought the WinTVpvr for my PC. Everything is set up great, I am recording live tv of late as I wanted. The problem is I want to keep watch on the videos I narrative onto my PC directly on my tv. I read that I needed an S-Video cable to do this. So I went and bought one today. But when I go to hook it up, I noticed I don't own a S-Video hook up on the back of my tv. My tv is brand clean and has a HDMI hook up on the subsidise. (What is an HDMI hook up? Is that what I Need?). Here are some details on my pc and tv if it help out with the interview. My pc is a HP Pavilion AMD Athlon 65 Processor 3500+ and my tv is a Prive 32" LCD HDTV (brand new). Any serve in this thing will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

You may still be within luck if your TV has a VGA or DVI port. If it have a DVI you will probably need an adapter (VGA to DVI) to use it. Good luck!
You can buy an S-Video adapter that will convert from S-video to only a video signal. Usually a yellow cable. Then find a Y-stereo adapter jack which converters standard size headphone jack into audio disappeared and right (red and white). With this you have 3 signals video, vanished, right. Your TV should accept this

Or acquire an adapter to convert them signals to old anntenae plug which your TV should still adopt. You can pick up most of these adapters at a walmart or radio shack, pretty cheap.
IF you'd like, you cant use a program call nero and record the video from your computer and burn them on blank DVD-R cds or use DVD-RW cds to rerecord on them. It will save you greatly of time and its pretty easy.
I don't own WinTVpvr, but WinTVpvr is a video capture card, so it doesn't output video. The S-Video jack on the seizure card is for input-only.
If your computer's video card has an S-Video-out jack, afterwards you can output your computer's video to your TV. (You may have to jump into your video card's driver settings to enable the S-Video jack on your video card.) You can buy a S-Video to composite video adapter cable from a consumer electronics store.
