My Computer doesn't authorize my sturdy drive?

I've installed a third unyielding drive, yet when I turn on my computer, it's not standard. The jumper settings are set to slave. I thought that I don`t know my computer cannot have more than 4 IDEs taken up (DVD, master HD, slave HD, floppy)...so I disconnect my DVD and connected it to this third Hard Drive.... Still nought. What could it be?

why don't you raid them together if you can. also, are you using hot or used HDD. you may need to update the drivers or check the bios setting for this set-up. your system might not touch it. you may also need to flash the bios to support 3 drives. if you involve 3 drives, why not get an external drive, influence a 250-300gig one.
