I am tryin to format my not easy drive near format C: command but ..?
I requirement to know the way to format it . and whats wrong beside it

If you are in the knotty drive you want to format, windows can't delete itself. You will enjoy to go restart contained by DOS mode to do this if you are using Windows 98ish. I used to have Windows 98 and when I moved to XP Home, I didn't know how to do it any because you can't restart in DOS as far as I know. So, I have to search the net and find some software to burn to a disk to do it. I can't remember what I used, but just do a scour for "format hard disk" and something should come up. You will own to go into your BIOS and set your computer to start from your CD-ROM drive or doesn`t matter what you have and use the disk to do it.
You cannot format it if you booted up to it!
You can format it if you find an elder DOS boot disk or a Win98 or Win95 CD.

You cannot do that, how can a system format itself? You need softwares of bootable compact disc of the operating system. You can use partition trickery.
First determine whether you your hard drive is FAT32 or NTFS. To do this double click My Computer statue. Right click C:\ and choose properties. Look for File system and see if it is FAT32 or NTFS.

FAT 32 Partition

Boot from the floppy and choose the opportunity to start computer without CD-Rom support. Once at a DOS prompt type fdisk and hit enter. NTFS Partition
Boot up your computer next to your Windows 2000 or Windows XP CD. Follow the instructions to do a fresh installation. When you bring to the part where on earth it asks what partition you want to install it to, you will see an odds to delete the partition. Choose to delete the dividing wall. Choose install on the unpartitioned space. It will partition and format for you. Choose the NTFS screen.
