my motherboard already have video and audio intergrated... i bought a 5.1 audio system and i had to buy a 5.1 pci card..in a minute i cant install it for some reason...(i be thinkin about buying a spanking new card, but then i thought...) do i own to disinstall the old audio drivers that i wont be using anymore?? can anybody relief please?? thanks!!!

Answer:
First, you should disable on-board audio within the BIOS. Afterwards, uninstall the drivers for your on-board audio and then install the drivers for your trial card. You might not have to budge through all this trouble, but it's better to be nontoxic. I've seen issue after issue near audio where the card driver doesn't work because the computer is still running the onboard audio.
Try this :

Go into the BIOS setup of your computer and disable the integrated audio.

Follow manufacturer's procedure for installing PCI audio card.
two things..yes first uninstall the elderly drivers, and at boot up go into the bios (hit delete or f1, f2, your documentation should notify you how) and disable the old integrated audio.
