How do l check my computer to see if it have a dvd burner on it to see if l can copy dvd's?
Answer:
owners instruction book
The front of your cd drive should have a logo on it.
If the logo read "CD ReWritable", then it is a compact disc burner only. It may also vote DVD Rom, which means it can play DVDs, but not copy them.
If the logo say anything like "DVD ReWritable" or "DVD Writable +/-" after you have a DVD burner.
On the DVD drive you should be seeing some piece like RW (means Read write) afterwards its a reader
Also, if you find some thing approaching 52X - 24X- 48X (anything like that beside three numbers then also you can be sure that it is reader and writer)
Get your exact model number and consequently go to the vendor's website. I infer it should be "www.gateway.com" and check if your model has a DVD burner or not.
