Erase a system and install another??

I purchased a hot computer about 3 weeks ago presently, with Vista Basic pre-installed. I can`t bear the system, it‘s like going to a foreign country and study to drive on the wrong side of the road with adjectives new regulations. But, more than that it’s not friendly to creative relatives who want to move pictures around or save them well.

I could go on, but it’s best that I ask my interrogate. Is there any channel I could erase Vista and re-install another system, say xpress or 2000...anything that will allow me to move more freely and creatively. Thanks for any give support to.

Answer:
Since you only own one OS installed, Vista, you cannot use Computer Management to format the C:\ drive...you can't use the OS to destroy the OS. You can, however, format the drive by using any your Vista or XP CD.

In short, I would insert my Windows XP disc and tell it to proceed near installing Windows XP. At the point where you can create and delete partition, I would delete C:\ and then create a different partition from the unpartitioned space. Tell it you want to install Vista on that wall, and choose the formatting option you prefer. (I would basically do a quick NTFS format.) Proceed beside the installation and setup and you should be fine. Just make sure that you own backed up adjectives of your important files to another complicated drive, CD/DVDs, etc before doing this...you do not want to risk the loss of your adjectives of your data.

Hope this help,
no. u shuld retain ur current OS.. as it is best to use and much friendly user..
Sure. I would think your best odds would be to wipe your drive and install XP Pro.
gugenheim84 yes you can

1 Boot your system with floppy Dos disk
2 type FDISK at command prompt
3 delete the separator on your hard-drive
4 exit
5 reboot again with Floppy and use FDISK again
6 this time create your own Partition
7 Once done exit again and reboot again as formerly
8 Now at command prompt type format c: /s
This will format your hard-drive
9 Once formatting done

Restart your PC and on logo screen maintain pressing F8 or depend on your motherboard F11. Screen will open to prompt you to use device to boot from. Insert your system operating disk and choose cd rom to boot from.

from here you should know what to do. Follow the Instruction. Good luck
