How do I know if I can install an agp 2x/4x or an 4x/8x video card.I hold a agp slot on my mobo?

My mobo is 5 years old-fashioned. It is a QUIKSILVER 2 -CMT

You can install anything within the AGP slot as long as it's an AGP card. There probably shouldn't be too much compatibility issues, unless the card you want to install is really, really old, which doesn't generate sense to do anyway.
