SD Card Format Question (1st working answer as best answer)?
Tried to reformat it on my laptop, but come back 1GB also...
Anyway to restore it to it untested 2GB?

Use your camera to format it, not your PC.
Certain devices may not be compatible with larger formats, i.e.: a Panasonic Laptop made in the past 2002 would not be able to format any size higher than 1.0GB for SD Cards.
Try to do it on a newer system, maybe at a friend's house. If that doesn't work, then you probably get a card stickered as 2.0G when it's physically 1.0G. I'd return it.
go to the businesswoman of the digital camera and check for any changes within the model specifics or it just may be a bleak card
or it just perchance a compressed format... try that
