Hi I am working on window 2000 server I am using smart card reader on it but since 2 days I am not competent?

Hardware does not disapear unless it ihas been uninstalled or have malfunctioned.
Any errors surrounded by the Event viewer?
Try scaning for unknown hardware, if you don't get them stern, reboot. If you still don't have them try reinstalling the com 1 port. If com 1 comes rear legs then install adjectives the rest. If none of the ports come back your later check is in the bios, run the server' set up and see if they are near.
No ports after all this after you have a motherboard bomb. If it is under warnanty phone the manufacturer, if and you need ports you can incorporate a card to the system with com ports or replace the motherboard.

i frontage this situation once, at the end i integer out that's defective, im not disappointing you try to unplug it and plug it again
Card reader worsk on the usb ports ok try uninstalling the device drivers and reinstall the drivers and chnage the port alos there might some loose contacts..
