Can I use an external dvd drive to play games, and if yes what do i buy cd/rom, cd/rw i'm so confused.?

I only just need the most uncomplicated of explanations...I'm totally clueless on this topic.

Answer:
Yes you can play games on a dvd drive. You can play CD's and DVD's both in that drive. Shouldn't event if it's cd-rom or cd-rw however most games I've seen are cd-rom or dvd's.
The best entity to buy would be a DVD-RW.
you can play games-and the
cd-rw and cd-r is just for record purposes
cd-rw is rewritable media-usualy for data
cd-r is in recent times a one time recording medium usualy for music
and it should record contained by dvd format if thats what you actualy have.some games are contained by dvd format so you have to own a dvd external media player
apposite luck
