Problem near DVD-Drive?

Have topical Vista:Home premium and having problems next to DVD-Drive. Some cd's do not get time-honoured e.g Norton360,SettlersV,BT Broadband Setup etc. However others do work as if there be no problem whatsoever. Can anyone tell me if i'm doing something wrong, or is it possible to enjoy a 'temperamental' drive?? help!

Na might be Vista! Your drive might be DVD+ and you hold DVD- Disks or via versa!
I'm guessing you mean you put the disk contained by the drive, and it doesn't open the application folders up automatically for you?

Try going to My Computer, right clicking the DVD drive, and click "explore".

From within, you can open up the files. If it's an application you are trying to install, look for an god that says SETUP.EXE., or a short time ago SETUP.
Older versions of window disc's don't work with vista you stipulation the vista version's only purloin my advice do not use norton this screw up your system.
