Answer:
1. Open the computer (CPU) chassis
2. Get your new unyielding drive and set it to Slave ..it's mentioned how to do it on the hard drive itself .watch out when you do that.
3. I hope your current drive is set to Master by default by your computer entrepreneur.
4. Attach it to your computer ..plug in the cable carefully lacking damaging the pins ...you will own a spare set of Data and Power cable already in your CPU.
5. Once it's attached, restart your computer and right click on the My Computer deity and choose Manage (assuming that you are using Windows ...XP preferably)
6. Then in the Computer Management windowpane choose Disk Management and there you will see a fact list for your other drive.
7. Right click on the new drive and Format it to any a single partition or multiple partition .preferably choose NTFS for formatting.
8. Once the drive has formatted...later open your My Computer god and you will see the new drive near.
9. Close the chassis. ;-)
turn off your computer. look at your second frozen drive side and it will show you the slave and master settings. make the second one your slave (it should show you on the drive).
Make your first strong drive a master.
Hook the second one up to the power and the motherboard connecting things and you're good to travel.
you have to friendly your computer, I know there will be an extra slot for another knotty drive, and you'll see the cables to hook it up and connect the frozen drive, once it's connected put everything in it's place (put backbone screws and adjectives that) then turn on your computer and on my computer you'll see the hot hard drive in attendance Good Luck!!
(i) Choose one HDD as primary and other as secondary drives.
(ii) Attach them by cable on the Mother Board.
(iii) Set the Jumper of lesser HDD to SLAVE.
(iv) From SET UP, choose the primary HDD as MASTER and the secondary HDD as SLAVE.
Your charge is done! This way you can attach more than one HDD as Slave but the Master remains singular one!
A hard drive can be configured close to this...Master, Slave OR cable Select. Depending on your computer configuration. Your primary HDD, the one that you hae the OS installed on it usualy and normaly is set to Master. On a HDD on the side with the conector you will see some jumper next to the it can be a schematics that tell you wich way you hold to set the jumpers for master, slave or CS. If not look on his front for a schematics. On your motherboard you will find 2 conectors for IDE (that is HDD or opticla storage device approaching dvd rom's cd roms etc) On each IDE conector you can instal up to 2 device or 2 HDD or 2 optical storage devices or 1 HDD and 1 optical. But on 1 IDE you can't install the both devices on master or slave. The major one is set to MAster and the second one to slave. So if you look in to your computer you probably find the HDD installed is set to MAster and the optical device is set to Slave. And you can install the subsequent hard drive set to master on the subsequent ide conector on you MB. I found that on a DELL contraption you can set the HDD and the optical device that are installed on the same IDE conector are set to CS.
do you you know if the skin as a space for a 2nd
hard drive and but for go for a ext one ,it shoud work
