Did DVD spoil if we put it contained by dvd drive for long time? It be working beforehand, is within any bearing to play dvd?

hon, it wouldn't spoil. try cleaning it beside a damp cloth and try it again, it may be scratched or the laser contained by the dvd player could be dirty...use a laser cleaner disc if u have one...or draw from one at an electronics store.
the dvd or the dvd player's lens is dirty. clean them both, and afterwards play the dvd.
