Can I connect an CD/DVD drive to my FDD port on my M/B?

I know that the FDD port be originally used for the primary HD, prior to the days of SATA. I have 2 SATA H/Ds, on one of which I will be installing Vista. Since my m/b single has one settle port plus the FDD, is it possible to connect my second DVD drive to the FDD.

Thanks

Answer:
No , FDD never and cant be used for HD , prior to sata days , most motherboard come with 2 settle port , nowdays almost all (if not all) topical motherboard comes only next to 1 ide port.
FYI 1 settle port can support up to 2 device (master and slave) so if you only hold 1 device on the ide port , yes you can donate another dvd drive.
A BIG NO!
Your single IDE port is capable of handling a master and a slave drive. Use it.
