I enjoy an elder computer and I want to install the complex drive into a clean computer.?
Answer:
you could do two things.
1.) install the harddrive in your strange computer (assuming they are the same interface IDE or serial). you would look at the prehistoric harddrive and set the jumpers to slave and install it on indistinguishable cable. or set it to cable select and install it on the cd-rom cable. this would have to be contracted once the computer was open. once installed you could navigate to the files you want and save them to the contemporary hd.
2.) The much easier option would be to buy an external usb harddrive crate. one can be had for around $25-30 on ebay, tigerdirect, or newegg. later connect the newly created external drive, and amass your data. after you accumulate all of your background, you could format the drive and use it as an external harddrive for back up or personal use.
if you prefer to go near the first option, friendly your computer and repost the type of connections, how the connections are setup.
Just take out the drive, and connect it to your unmarked computer's IDE cable. Then make sure that your BIOS detects it, and It should show up as a second drive surrounded by my computer. You may have to set the jumper on the new drive, but try lacking first.
just set the second drive as a slave drive and fashion sure in the bios that it boot from the first drive afterwards once you boot up you can access the old drive by going to my computer and select that drive then you can bring all your files pics and music bad but no programs
You can have merely one boot drive in most cases its drive c. you will hold trouble booting if both drives have a bootable hedge.
