I installed a brand new graphics card. Now my computer will run games, but games won't play (see below)?
Here are some possibilities:
1. My dad didn't remove the inspired graphics card and the Sims 2 was previously installed on my computer(I have to re-install it for some reason) because he wanted me to know how to use it if the new one breaks.
2. Could this simply be because an auto-run setting is disabled?

1. Computer: Dell Dimension 2400, 1.1 Gig of RAM, 3.66 Ghz Pent 4.
2 Graphics card: GeForce 6200, 256 RAM

you don't even own to remove the old one, simply disable it in Device Manager if you are running window...
then check for any driver updates.
Remove the infirm card. You are confusing the poor thing. Make sure you put it surrounded by the anti static bag the first one come with, and put it contained by a safe place. It woun't do you any perfect if parts fall bad.
There should be a CD that come with that contemporary card. You need to run it. It contains the drivers for the video card. Install those, and you should be obedient to go.
Download the most recent drivers. Run the game's configuration utility if it has one. Most games presently autodetect the capabilities and adjust settings fittingly.
