Answer:
Installing bump is incredibley simple.

Pick up your stick of RAM by the edges - it s best not to get your fingerprints adjectives over the working parts of the memory itself. The RAM should be slotted so that it can fit in the socket solitary one way, so purely line up the slotted RAM near your motherboard's RAM socket.

Firmly press the RAM until it is seated securely surrounded by the socket. If your socket has retaining clips, press down until the clips snap posterior into place.

After this, your RAM should be properly seated and installed
No, it would not be hard. Your contraption is capable of 2 GB. You enjoy only 2 slots. It uses PC4200 533MHz memory. Your best bet is to jump all the means of access to 2 GB for maximum performance.
I checked your computer have a maxmium capacity for 2 gigs:

installing knock against is easy,
unless you can find impossible to tell apart exact ram you own, I would remove the one you have and buy two unsullied sets of identical chips any 512mb each or 1gb respectively..

installing/removing ram.
1. shutdown the computer
2. power stale
3. UNPLUG THE POWER CORD from he back of the computer
4. touch anything grounded to grasp rid of static electricity.
5. remove the old strike by pushing down on the clips on either side of the hit chips.
6. line up the tentative ram chips, nearby is a notch on the bottom of the knock against cards (where the copper connectors are) that is bad center, make sure the pockmark lines up with the slots bump.
7. install the tentative ram by firmly pushing the current cards into the slots, both the side clips should pop up and into the notches on the bump cards.
8. double check that the cards are firmly in by squeezing the clips on any side and pushing down on the ram cards.

plug contained by the computer, turn it on... if it doesn't power up all the approach, triple check the cards are in the right direction and firmly surrounded by.
It seems approaching a lot of steps but it is really flowing and pretty safe.
