What's the difference between a GPU and Phyisics card?

It might execute better as patches for it come out, but it single supports directx9. wouldn't surprise me if a directx10 version of the card comes out.
i'm not sure what a 'physics' card is, perchance different terminology, gpu is graphics processor element, i think, for gaming, gpu or 'graphics card' is the majority of muscle, for graphics, upgrading your graphics card should augment your gaming but still, if your comp is out of date, the graphics card is simply half the solution. most games say-so what the gpu requirements are and also cpu and memory so, if you can find that information you can see how your stuff compares to what the minimum requirements are and the suggested specs, if you dont know what you are using right now, I suggest freshdiagnose its free, and it can transmit you a lot in the region of your comps hardware
To put it simply: GPUs (part of a videocard) do graphics, a Physics card would do physics.
I doubt there are tons Physics cards out there, and I hold no idea if they would work beside games that aren't specifically designed to support them. Some new graphics cards (like the Nvidia 8800) own some physics capability. I come up with most physics calculations are done on the CPU.

A GPU and a PPU are not alike thing. A PPU will clear the CPU from have to perform calculation that involve physics in a team game.
And trust me, there is a honourable quantity of games that will see benefits from a PPU.
