How much concrete drive and memory do I stipulation?

Well I'm getting a Macbook for sure (do NOT try to articulate me of buying a Mac, I've made up my mind :)).

2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
1GB memory
120GB hard drive
Double-layer SuperDrive

Is what it already have... now, I can upgrade it to 2GB memory and 160GB unyielding drive, but do I really need it?

I'm a college student, so I reclaim a lot of MS word files (but I delete the ones I don't necessitate every couple of months), I do save significant amount of photos on my computer, but not LOADS, the programs tipically use are: iTune, AIM, Internet explorer, MS word/excel, paint, adobe, limewire.

I'm pretty sure my notebook right now have a lot smaller amount:
AMD turion (tm) 64 Mobile
Technology ML-32
1.79 Ghz, 368 MB ram
It have 60/80 GB of hard drive and 1GB or 512 MB of memory

I do adjectives the stuff describe above and my pc right presently is slow as heck,
So do need to upgrade my mem and firm drive, or will I be fine with what the elemental offers?

Answer:
it is not essential
2 gb is markedly much RAM and according to ur need u can do work even contained by 512 MB and u have 1 gb
its plenty for u
2 GB RAM is for mainly multimedia work
by the course u have core 2 duo processor its the best
congrates for the MACBOOK its the best
2 GB of RAM for what you are wanting to do is not essential (unless you planned to do each and everything you needed all at impossible to tell apart time).

120GB hard drive is also plenty of space for what you want.

Nothing wrong beside upgrading for the future, but I do not believe that these would be called for upgrades for what you are wanting to use the computer for.
If you compare the price of upgrading now, to which it would cost latter to replace the smaller memory or hard drive next to a larger one, you will realize it is a lot cheaper to do it very soon then to do it next. Regardless of the memory and hard drive size, it will never be ample, and you will eventual need more. So attain it now while it is cheaper.
best to do the upgrade very soon insted of wanting a new computer surrounded by 6months cause you didnt upgrade..
