You can't preset the USB to do that, every computer is different... Just take the 3 second it takes to click onto My Computer, afterwards the flash drive, the the powerpoint. But when you put your flash drive in, something will pop up that say how do you want to open this USB and it'll contribute you a list of selection. Make sure you check the box at the bottom before clickin okay.
Create a file file name "Autorun.inf" in the drive's root directory, beside contents something like this:

[autorun]

open=PortableFirefox.exe action=Start PortableFirefox

icon=PortableFirefox.exe label=Portable Internet

The open= queue and action= lines are used only by the AutoPlay part of Windows XP SP2.
You can't - it depends on the settings on the user's computer - sorry - but I'd watch any presentation if someone give me a free USB.

Good luck.
With Windows XP, you would have to own a U3 type flash drive 'cause XP doesn't totally support autoplay for non-CD drives. (A U3 drive shows up as two drives, one is a fake compact disc drive.) The most you can do with a regular flash drive beneath XP is put an option to run a program surrounded by the popup dialog box using an autorun.inf file. This go for all non-CD USB drives, including USB harddrives.

Here's an example autorun.inf folder for a non-U3 drive:

[autorun]
action=Run Presentation
icon=MyIcon.ico
open=Promo.exe
shell=Promo.exe
label=Presentation

The action and open/shell lines run together. Action is what shows up in the dialog box. The open/shell column is what actually happen when you choose the action entry and click OK. The deity and label lines are totally flexible. The label shows up subsequent to the drive letter within My Computer, the icon would be used as the deity for the drive in My Computer.

Don't enjoy any U3 drives so I don't know how you setup autorun stuff on them. A CD might be an easier alternative.
plug surrounded by the usb flah memory and then:-
1.walk to start>>accessories>>windows explorer
2. find ur usb fm on the tree(left side)
3.click properties>> autoplay tab
4. select the content type u want to play
5.tick the first one
consequently save the settings
