ball mouse? for sure its fuzz or broken, clean it or buy a brand new one.
laser mouse? most likley hair or fuzz is between the optical receptor and the mousepad of late pull out the mane or clean it, no have need of to ever buy a new laser mouse unless the buttons stop functioning from overuse.
